Marian June Jacobs, age 74, died on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg. She was born in Baraboo on June 10, 1935, the daughter of the late Robert and Cora (Reddeman) Getschman. She was united in marriage to Hurley Jacobs on January 9, 1954. Marian was employed by UW Extension-Sauk County, as a home economist, and was also employed by Mueller Sports Medicine. She is survived by her husband Hurley; four children, Daniel (Anna), Michael (Laurlin), Kathy, and Gary; 22 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna Purcell; daughter-in-law, Dawn Jacobs; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery; a brother, Keith Getschman; grandparents, Louis and Hilda (Graf) Reddeman, and their children, Elda, Lola, Nona and Neal Reddeman. Funeral services will be held at MERRIMAC UNITED METHODIST CHURCH at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 with Pastor Anita Genrich officiating. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 4:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, November 13, 2009.
