Marie T. Savage, age 98, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2014 at the Pines Nursing Home in Prairie du Sac. She was preceded in death by her husband, Durward V. Savage; son, Carl O. Savage; and grandsons, Jerome G. Steinhorst and Randy Maynard.

Marie is survived by children, Charlotte of Elpaso, TX, Eldora (Roger) of Sauk City, Paul (Sharon) of Black Earth, Bruce (Barbara) of Tampa, FL, Audrey of Madison, Glenn (Kathleen) of New Market, TN, Lillian of Eau Claire, Inez (Steve) of DeForest, Sheila of Sauk City and Peggy Savage of Baraboo. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandbabies. Marie is also survived by a brother, Albert (Peg) Wellnitz of Rockford, IL and two sisters, Rose Maier and Eloise (Pete) Peterson of Janesville.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 115 Madison St., Sauk City, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 with Fr. John Blewett officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water Street, Sauk City from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014.
