Marilyn G Blackmon, age 86, long-time member of Concordia United Methodist Church and resident of The Pines died peacefully on December 17, 2020. She was born February 12, 1934 to the late Rev. George R and Clara (Jolliffe) Warren in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1952 and Macalester College in 1956.
Marilyn was united in marriage to Willard (Bill) Blackmon on August 26, 1956 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. They enjoyed 62 years together until Bill preceded her in death in 2018. Marilyn enjoyed singing, family gatherings, her siblings, church, giving to others, sending cards and writing letters, traveling, celebrations, flowers, but especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Glen (Dorothy) Blackmon, and daughter Barbara (Don) Volner, grandchildren Brianna Blackmon and William Blackmon, and daughter-in-law Laura Burger(Fisher). She is further survived by brother, David (Hope) Warren, sisters Betty(Jerry) Moede, Jean (Bill) Miller, Robin (Terry) Cooprider, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by her son Scott Blackmon; 3 sisters, Bonnie (Marion) Conditt, Dorothy (Edward) Olson, Lynda Warren; brother Robert(LaVerne) Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Online condolences may be offered at hooversonfuneralhome.com. Memorials can be made to Concordia United Methodist Church or Agrace Hospice. Marilyn's family would like to thank The Pines and Agrace Hospice for their wonderful care of Marilyn during her last days.
