Marilyn J Gilding, age 89, passed away 6/22/24 at St. Mary's Hospital Madison. She was born on May 27, 1935, in Mineral Point, the daughter of the late Jasper and Marion (Reed). She was united in marriage to Linus Gilding on January 24, 1953.  She had a passion for farming, and working the land with her husband, Linus. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Survived by her 4 children, Dean Gilding, Linda Statz, JoAnn (Gary) Bindl and Kevin (Jodie) Gilding; 5 grandchildren, Jesse (Cyndi) Gilding, Kelli (Alan) Trevino, Araina (Joe) Breunig, Lacey (Paul) Zander and Lindsey (Bryce) Trager; 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by, her husband Linus, a daughter, Susan Gilding, son in law, Bernard Statz, and a brother, David Reed.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday June 28, 2024, at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI. A visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will be in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
