Obituary

Marilyn Jacobs, age 73, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Reedsburg on Mar. 7, 2024.  She was born Feb. 28, 1951 in Mason City, Iowa to William and Maxine Vivian.  She graduated from Lafolette High School in Madison in 1969.  She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Jacobs on Nov. 25, 1983; he preceded her in death on Apr. 21, 2018.

Marilyn worked for Perry Printing in Baraboo for many years; where she worked in the administration offices doing book keeping and payroll.  She later worked at Charlies, Sauk Prairie Liquor Store and lastly for Vactionland Vendors in the Wisconsin Dells.

She and Bill enjoyed memorable camping weekends, spending time with their family, and looked forward to the Badger Steam and Gas Show every year.  Marilyn was talented with a latch hook, enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, diamond print and loved her dogs.  She was a past active member of Merrimac Lutheran Church.

She is survived by children, Josef (April Lincoln) Schilling and their 4 children, Alison, Andrew, Maya and Sethy; Heidi Schilling and her daughter, Elizabeth Ripp; Justin (Heather) Schilling and their children Adelyn and Eva; and Jessamyn (Charlie) Dvorak and children, Alexis, Jemini, Lana, and Clayton; sister, Barbara (Marvel) Nelson; she is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bill; she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Knuth and in-laws, David and Shirley Jacobs.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 20, 2024 at 5:00 pm at the Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City; a visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
