Marilyn J. Westfall, age 84, died on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie, after a short illness. She was born in Iowa on May 15, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Dennis) Fletcher. She was united in marriage to Merlin Westfall on February 22, 1948. Marilyn and Merlin farmed in Cass and Adair counties in Iowa, moving to Wisconsin in January 1969. Marilyn was employed by Super Valu and the Prairie Clinic, from which she retired in 1991. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the church Quilting Guild.


She is survived by four children, Kathy (Doug) Pickar, Linda (Tim) Ryan, Roger (Diane) Westfall and Jim Westfall; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.


A funeral service will be held at ST. JOHN'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 100 Oak St., Prairie du Sac, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Burial will be in Garden Bluff Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
