IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marlene A.
Reuter
November 18, 1938 – February 27, 2026
Marlene A. Reuter, born November 18, 1938, passed from our lives on February 27, 2026. Marlene was born in Spring Green, Wisconsin to Lucy and Alvin Ringelstetter and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Don Reuter.
Marlene left behind a family that will try to live up to her legacy. Her children are Kris (Bruce) Houtler, Marc (Marietta) Reuter, Lori (Jeff) Beehler, Amy (Bill) Nelson, and Sherri (Doug) Helgerson; grandchildren, Emily (Matt), Donovan (Bridget), Hannah (Brad), Marina (James), Mariah (Austin), Martina (Moses), Nate (Sarah), Kirsten (Peter), Gage, and Cole will miss her greatly; great grandchildren, Rexton, Dominic, Brooks, Evelyn, Hazel, Willow, Linnea, Matilda, and Matthias will all remember their Gigi.
The seemingly unbearable hurt we are feeling in our hearts right now is soothed by the love we know she had for each of us. The stories we are telling and the reminders we have of her daily presence in our lives will bring us peace in these hard days to come. She always participated in family group texts and when one of us asked "We made tacos for supper, do you want some?" it was followed by "Sure!" and taco emoji. She loved watching sports on TV, and we couldn't watch Badger basketball, Brewer baseball or Packer football without her special commentary added to our conversations. Every summer for the last 30+ years she gathered three generations of our family to the cabin up north on Blueberry Lake for a week of laughs, food, cards, general shenanigans, and precious memories.
Mom loved her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids with an abundance of encouraging words and unconditional acceptance. She was a great listener and a true example of pure love that we all recognized and will cherish. Whether she was baking bread, catching bluegills, or kicking our butts in euchre, we learned many life skills at her side, often with a healthy dose of her precious sense of humor. We were made better by having her in our lives and were blessed to call her Mom, Gramma, and Gigi.
"No, I love YOU!"
