Marvin W. Krintz, age 64, died on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Home Health United Hospice in Baraboo after a short and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Sauk County, September 25, 1945, the son of Willard and Vivian (Barr) Krintz. Marvin was united in marriage to Sharon Zimmerman on May 15, 1965 in Sun Prairie.

Marvin was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for over 40 years with Rock Transfer, Marshall Erdman, Hayes Transport, Grede Foundries and Fuchs Trucking. Marvin was proud and committed to his career which he greatly enjoyed. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve from 1964 to 1971 and was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood 322nd Chemical Co. Depot. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, watching NASCAR, and the Green Bay Packers. He was a member of the Honey Creek Rod and Gun Club from 1976 to 1990, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, with his family and friends. Marvin made peace with this life.

He is survived by his wife Sharon of Denzer; three children, Patti (Jeff) Ballweg of Roxbury, Paula (Travis Kujawa) Krintz of Sauk City, and Michael (Stephanie) Krintz of Poynette; grandchildren, Charles and Claire Meixelsperger, Erin, Adam, and Anna Ballweg; his mother, Vivian Krintz of Sauk City; siblings Bonnie (Jerry) Ganser, Willard (Lisa) Krintz, Sherri (Neil) Mack, and Ken Krintz and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Willard Carl Krintz, grandmother Anna (Auerswald) Krintz, and grandfather Carl Willard Krintz.



A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, Prairie du Sac, with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 p.m. until time of service
