Mary E. Carlow, age 102, passed away on October 21, 2017 at Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice, Viroqua, WI. She was born on October 10, 1915, the daughter of the late Andrew and Bertha (Martin) Kindschi. She was united in marriage to Elvin Carlow on October 21, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1991. Together they farmed in the Honey Creek Township for many years, retiring in 1967.


She is survived by her son, Willard (Ann);
2 daughters, Shirley Olson and Carolyn (Martin) Hines;
1 grandson, Brian (Cara) Wolenec;
and 2 great grandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan.
further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Kindschi, 1 sister, Edna (Merton) Rogers and a son in law, William Olson.


A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Concordia United Methodist Church, Prairie du Sac, WI. A visitation will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the Denzer Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Bland Bekkedal Hospice Center or the Vernon Manor Activity fund.
