Mary J. Feltz,age 64, passed away at home on Friday , November 14, 2008, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on February 29, 1944 in Menomonee Falls to the late Alphons and Marcella (Steger) Schneider. Mary graduated from UW Platteville in 1966 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. On October 29, 1966 she was united in marriage to Carl Feltz at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls. Mary taught for the Sauk Prairie School District from 1966 until her retirement in 1999. She shared her love of reading and writing with many 5th Graders through the years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City.

5 Grandchildren that were the lights of her life: Andrew and Julia Peterson, and Lilia, Claudia, and Tyler Tisch

2 Brothers : Gary (Debbie) Schneider of Richfield
Dale (Angela) Schneider of Germantown
Further survived by many nieces , nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Lois Warga.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, with Father Jared Hood and Father William Seipp concelebrating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI on Sunday, November 16, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm. Donations may be made to the family for a memorial scholarship being set up by the family through the Sauk Prairie Foundation for Academic Excellence. This scholarship will be awarded in Mary's name to a student entering the field of Elemetary Education.
