Mary Nelson, age 84, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Prairie du Sac on Sunday, March 8, 2026 with her husband, Lee by her side.  She was born Feb, 24, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harry and Mary (Lightner) Bachtel.  Mary earned a B.A. while attending college in New York.  In her younger years she fondly recalled her times spent with the Girl Scouts and was an avid swimmer and loved the water.  She and her husband Lee owned and operated an Antique Store in Massachusetts. She had a love of Antiques, and loved to travel.  She and Lee enjoyed traveling, Nevada, South Dakota, Wyoming and out west.

She is survived by her husband, Lee.
