Mary M. Zick, 74, of Prairie du Sac, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at the UW Hospital Cancer Center. She was born on Oct. 26, 1940 to Peter and Margaret (Robers) Weber in Prairie du Sac. She married Darwin Zick on Dec. 31, 1960.

Mary deeply loved her family, her flowers and birds, bowling and trips to Minocqua with "the girls", reading, music, playing cards and her co-workers and the residents of Maplewood Village.

She is survived by her husband, Darwin "Mert"; 5 children, Chris (Lee Rogers) of Kona, HI, Steve (Jen Paulus) of Blackhawk, Amy (Dave Harman) of Waunakee, Jeff (Marlene) of Prairie du Sac, Kenny (Rhonda Jones) of North Freedom; 8 grandchildren, Branden (Carly Udelhofen) of Lodi, Heather of Prairie du Sac, Blake (Hailey Coy) of Merrimac, Morgan and Marly Harman of Waunakee, Nicole (Matt) Ganser of Sauk City, Natasha and Preston Cook of Baraboo and 3 great grandchildren, Lincoln, Sienna and Bennett Ganser of Sauk City; 2 sisters, Sister Priscilla Weber of St Louis, MO, Jeanette Breunig of Prairie du Sac; a sister-in-law, Carol Zick of Sussex ; brother-in-law, Valarius Schultz of Hermann, MO, many nieces and nephews and a truly wonderful friend, Ann Haselwander.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Margaret Weber, her parents-in-law, Merton and Anna Zick, 3 brothers-in-law, Gene Zick, Duane Zick and Louis Breunig and a sister-in-law Harolyn Schultz.

Mary had a strong and loving spirit and will truly be missed by her family and many who knew her...until we meet again.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.
