Matthew "Matt" "Powie" James Power, age 24, died on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at his home in Reedsburg. He was born in Madison on November 30, 1983 to Rick Power and Jean Gehrke. He attended Sauk Prairie High School, graduating in 2002. Matt had worked at Frey Construction in Sauk Prairie and most recently at Badger Swim Pools and was a member of Laborers Union 464. Matt enjoyed spending time with his children, Damien and Faith, and his beloved dog, Diego; riding 4-wheelers with his friends and listening to rock music.

A Memorial Service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednedsay, March 19, 2008. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Matt's children.
