Maurine Yvonne Richolson, age 86, passed away Sunday April 30, 2023 at The Meadows of Fall River.  She was born March 22, 1937 to the late Ervin and Helen (Jaedike) Schaefer.   Maurine graduated from the Prairie du Sac High School class of 1955.  Shortly after High School she was united in marriage to Fred Richolson; he preceded her in death in 1968.  Moves to Texas and California eventually brought them back to Wisconsin where they settled in the greater Madison area.  Maurine worked many years at Colonial Manor and later at Flambeau Plastics until she retired.  She enjoyed her bowling leagues, loved her gardens and flowers, birdwatching and most importantly spending time with her family.

Maurine is survived by her children, Deborah Fabel, Thomas Richolson , Gary (Cheril) Richolson , Daniel (Lori) Richolson , Lori Haggerty, and Amy Francek (Darryl Ford), 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Judy Jackson, Ginny Nimmow, Donna Hosking; she is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Littel, daughter in-law, Christine Richolson;
2 son in-laws, Merlin Haggerty and David Littel; 3 brothers in-law, George Jackson, Ed Nimmow, and John Hosking.

Maurine's family appreciates the wonderful care she received from the Staff at the Meadows of Fall River and Generations Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be held in the Sauk City Cemetery.  A luncheon will follow at Cedarberry Inn, 855 Phillips Blvd., Sauk City, WI 53583
