IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Megan Rose
Engebretson
October 1, 2021
Megan Rose Engebretson, 38, left this world on October 1, 2021. She was born and raised on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Browning, MT. In 1997, she moved with her family to Helena, MT, where her mom, sisters and nieces still reside. Megan could always make a friend wherever she went. She loved to laugh; it was contagious and would fill a room. As a young girl her passion was her artwork. She was eager to start a new life and moved to Douglas, WY. It was here that she started her family with Morgan and Tristen. Later, she met Mikey Pings and they had their son, Grady. Mikey had a construction company and she worked right alongside him to make his company grow. He taught her how to fish, and they spent many hours fishing and camping and enjoying life. Then they moved to Mikey's hometown of Prairie du Sac, WI. Life got in the way as it sometimes does, and Mikey and Megan went their separate ways, but their love for each other never ceased. Megan's dream was to go to culinary school and become a chef. She worked in many establishments in WI as a line cook.
Megan is survived by her three children whom she referred to as "her heart," Morgan, Tristen and Grady and her Pings family, Mikey, Mike and Julie, Krista and Jake Johnson, Otis and Mabel, all of Wisconsin. Her Montana Family, mother Waverly, sisters Courtney and Brittney, brother Erik (Joanne), cousin Brad Hall and her uncle and aunt, Ted and Janel Hall, her auntie Becky (Donnie) Running Crane and sons. When she left this world, she was greeted by her grandparents Theo and Ed LeMieux and Wally and Marisha Hall, and her father John Bullcalf.
Megan had a smile like a ray of sunshine. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 16th, at the VFW Park in Prairie du Sac, from 12 to 4.
