Obituary
Melvin A. Kolmorgen, age 75, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. He was born on February 9, 1937 in Trenary, Michigan, the son of the late Marvin and Ruth (Gilliland) Kolmorgen. He was united in marriage to Joyce Kirchstein on November 9, 1957. Mel was employed for many years at Prairie Plumbing and Heating as a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include two sons, Frederick (Krista) Kolmorgen of Baraboo and Patrick Kolmorgen of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Jessica, Laurie, Matthew and Christopher Kolmorgen and Anna Jacobs; two great-grandchildren;
a son-in-law, Dan Jacobs; a sister, Bonnie Nickel; a brother, Harry Kolmorgen; a sister-in-law, Ruthie (Phil) Mattke; and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Debbie; and a brother, Bill.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Sauk City Cemetery.
