Merlin K. Westfall, age 84, died Friday, September 17, 2010 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 21, 1925 in Massena, Iowa, the son of the late Gordon and Ethel (Cox) Westfall. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Fletcher on February 22, 1948. Merlin and Marilyn farmed in Cass and Adair counties in Iowa, moving to Wisconsin in January 1969. Merlin was employed by ALKAR, in Lodi and moved to Prairie du Sac in 2006. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Prairie du Sac.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; four children, Kathy (Doug) Pickar, Linda (Tim) Ryan, Roger (Diane) Westfall, and Jim Westfall; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.



A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church, 100 Oak Street, Prairie du Sac, with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Burial will be in Garden Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church.
