Michael " Mike" A. Lackey, age 54, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home in Sun Prairie surrounded by his family on Jan. 22, 2019.  He was born on December 31, 1964 to the late Francis Converse and Joan Miller.  Mike attended school in Southgate, California. He was self-employed and worked in construction for many years. Mike was a creative and passionate man who loved life. His goal was to put a smile on your face with a song, story, creation or just a hug. His passion was his family, friends, music, River Bend Resort and creating just about anything you can imagine. He was able to combine all his passions into one when he put together the River Ratz band that entertains on the weekends at the River Bend Campground in Watertown.

Mike is survived the love of his life, Judy(Hooverson); daughter, Alanis (Bob Van Duser); Judy's children, Jenny (Jared Aokoh)Greenberg and their children, Jared Jr., and Jiada; Amy Greenberg and her children, Aurora and Alvin; Joe (Kathy) Greenberg.  Mike is further survived by his mom, Joan and step-father Terry Weber; two brothers, Ernest (Cheryl) Lackey, Steven(Kathy) Lackey and a sister Sandra Lackey.

Mike was preceded in death by his father.

As per Mike's wishes, a Celebration of his Life will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on May 18, 2019 at the Benderz Bar at Riverbend Resort W.6940 Rubidell Rd., Watertown, WI.  A brief eulogy will be held at 3:00 pm.
