Michael Fargen, age 57, died on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Maplewood Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born on March 16, 1951 to LaVern and Margaret (Ruhland) Fargen. He married Diane Garvoille on July 25, 1981. Michael was a drywaller for 30 years, an avid hunter, and loved spending time in the woods. He is survived by his wife, Diane; a son, Mike; his mother, Margaret; siblings, Dale (Pam), Dave (Diane), Kevin (Sue) and Kim (Bill) Emerson, all of the River Valley area; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, LaVern; and in-laws, Vincent and Luella (Warner) Garvoille. A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Spring Green, at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 19 with a lunch to follow at the Parish Center. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2008.
