IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael "Wilson"
J. Wilson
September 25, 1950 – November 26, 2022
Michael J. "Wilson" Wilson, age 72, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022. He was born at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo on Sept. 25, 1950 to the late Ray and Evelyn (Werla) Wilson; and he would say he was the best looking and the smartest of his 14 siblings. Mike graduated from Sauk Prairie High School; class of 1968. Mike worked for the Dairy Forage Research Farm just outside of Sauk City for nearly 30 years before his retirement in 2012; in addition to the farm he drove school bus for the Sauk Prairie School district and continued after his retirement for close to 30 years.
Mike loved and lived to ride his custom Harley Davidson Motorcycle; the t-shirt statement "if I have to explain, you wouldn't understand" couldn't ring more true for Mike. His motorcycle, his friends and his family meant the world to him. Mike made connections everywhere he went, and would often visit with his friends on the front porch; probably sharing an inappropriate joke or two. He loved his bakery sweets from his Amish friends, his guns, tattoos, live music, and his concert and Sturgis t-shirts. Mike had a heart of gold and would be the first one to pitch in and lend a hand or volunteer to be the designated driver to anyone who needed it.
Mike is survived by his siblings; Barb Kube, Susan Showen, Kristy Wilson, Diane (Ed) Shaker, Deb (Les) Breunig, Trudy Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson, and Lisa (Steven) Peterson; and was "Uncle Mike" to countless nieces, nephews other relatives and his friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Willey, Bonnie Harrison, William Wilson, Jim Wilson, David "Albert" Wilson, Allen Wilson; brother in-laws, Rod Kube, Larry Showen, Walter Kirch; and sister in-law, Judy Wilson.
Kristy and McKenzie would like to thank Agrace Hospice for their care; Danielle, Smooth, Mark and to Mike's many friends who've stopped by to visit-he appreciated it.
A Visitation for Mike will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City. As per Mike's request, he would love to see his family and friends celebrate his life by dressing casually and wearing their most "colorful" t-shirt. A Celebration of Mike's Life will also be held Jan. 14, 2023 starting at 2:00 pm at Frankie's Bar, 5253 State Hwy 113, Baraboo.
