Michael J. Yurowski, age 54, left his earthly life of pain and sorrow and entered into eternal life cradled safely in the arms of his heavenly Father. Michael was born Sunday, December 27, 1953 in Baraboo, the son of John and Marlys (Taylor) Yurowski. He graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1972 where he participated in football, basketball and baseball. In earlier years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and disco dancing. Michael had a love for animals as he always had some type of pet in his home including dogs, birds, rabbits, turtles and reptiles. He had a passion for designing and growing flowers. He enjoyed watching the following the Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs and was a true sports fan. Michael was dedicated to studying God's word and spent many hours studying the Bible and spreading the good news. He would say, "God is awesome". He is survived by his mother, Marlys Yurowski; a daughter, Andrea Yurowski; a grandson, Derek Schumacher; sister and brother-in-law, Joni and Gary Stiemke; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John; and his son, Derrick. The family would like to thank U.W. Hospital I.C.U. Neuroscience nurses for their care of Michael following brain cancer surgery and Hospice Care Inc. for their wonderful care and support. Funeral services will be held at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, on Thursday, July 24 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Richard Lehmann officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until time of service on Thursday.
