Obituary

Milton Harold Hollinger, age 89, passed away in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on Memorial Day, May 30, 2022.  He was born at home in Delta, OH on Nov. 6, 1932 to the late Harold "Tom" and Helen Opal (Saul) Hollinger.  Milt attended and graduated from Delta High School; class of 1950.  Following High School, Milt enlisted in the United States Air Force.  He served from 1951 until 1955 and was stationed in Germany.  Upon his return from the service, he was united in marriage to his lifelong best friend, Sue Ann Segrist on Sept. 18, 1955; she preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 2021.  They settled in Elk Grove Village, IL. where they remained for 40 years.  Milt started his own Insurance Agency, Hollinger Services, which was later owned and operated by his son Tom.  Milt always enjoyed a project and liked to build things.  He and son Tom teamed up on many projects, including 2 sailboats and even repaired and repainted the family Rambler using fiberglass for bodywork.  Milt and Sue enjoyed time spent at their retreat on Castle Rock Lake where family and friends gathered for over 25 years.  Milt and Sue eventually moved to Prairie du Sac in 2011 to be closer to family.  Milt enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, his dogs, spending time with family and will be remembered for his integrity, kindness and generosity.

He is survived by his children, son Tom (Rosemary) Hollinger and their 3 children, Jim (Brittney Manzagol) Bieneman, Chris Bieneman, Clifford "CJ" Hollinger; daughter Dorothy "Dodi" (Jeff) Parker and their 2 children, Kaitie (Dean) Gasser (children Emily, Eric and Elizabeth) and Mark (Kathy Irwin); daughter Dana Hollinger and her children, Ashley (Yavir Castro) Esford and Aaron Kawalski; and a sister, Susie (Keith) Teegarden. Milt is further survived by other relatives and extended family and his faithful k9 companion "Duke".

As per Milt's wishes a private family service and burial will be held in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta, OH.  A Cookie Dunkin gathering will be held at Graceway Church, 65 13 th St., Prairie du Sac on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

Milt's family wishes to thank their friends, and family for their thoughts and prayers; Dr. Maribeth Baker for her loving support, and Agrace Hospice for honoring their care especially Agrace Nurse Kevin Klingmeyer and Agrace Aide Mary McKeown.
