Mitchell "Mitch" Deans Frey, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2024.  He was born on June 26, 1990 to Daniel "Danny" Frey and Julie (Deans) Frey.  Mitchell graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 2008.  He grew up working on the family farm with his dad, grandpa and brother and had a passion for tractor pulling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing with Uncle Lance and trap shooting.  He had a love for all kinds of wildlife, especially pelicans.  He recently enjoyed spending time with his uncle, cousins and brother rebuilding the family fleet of Allis Chalmers tractors during weekly tractor nights.  Mitchell had a kind heart, even though he sometimes had a rugged way of showing it, specifically to his sisters.  He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand or come up with a one-liner.

Mitchell is survived by his mother, Julie Frey; siblings, Leeann (Trevor) Prochaska of Barneveld, Ben (Lindsey) Frey and Carli Frey, both of Sauk City; nephew, Colton Prochaska and niece, Halle Frey; grandmothers, Beverly Frey and Carol Deans.  He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel "Danny" Frey and grandfathers, Robert "Bob" Frey and Eugene "Gene" Deans.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water Street, Sauk City WI, 53583.  A celebration of life will be held at Fair Valley Performance, E9688 Co Rd B, Sauk City on Saturday, February 24, starting at 3:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards a memorial fund that will be established in Mitchell's name.
