Nancy J. Davis age 77, of Madison, passed away July 22, 2021 at her home. She was born in Dodgeville on September 22, 1943, the daughter of Gaius and Doris (Turnell) Davis. She lived her younger years in Hyde, playing ball on Highway H. Nancy worked for the state of Wis. DMV retiring after 42 years.

She was an avid sports fan especially of the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. She was a Wisconsin Badger season ticket holder for over 50 years in football, basketball and hockey. Nancy enjoyed playing semi-pro softball with a traveling team from Dodgeville in her younger days.

She is survived by her brother, John (Janice) Davis, Niece Holly (Jamie) Drosseler and great niece Faith and great nephew Drew Droessler. She is further survived by her live-in roommate Sandy Nelson, who guided her down many roads on their travels.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm Sunday July 25, 2021 and before the service starting at 10 on Monday July 26, 2021 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Mazomanie, Wis. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am at the funeral home.   REV. Mike White will officiate. The family requests the wearing of masks and social distancing for the visitation and service. Please wear your Badger, Packer, or Brewer attire.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Hyde Chapel Association.
