Neal F. Jessie, age 81 passed away peacefully at his home on January 1, 2026.  He was born in Loyal Wisconsin on December 18, 1944.  Son of the late Clarence and Florence (Mielke) Jessie.

Neal grew up in Prairie du Sac, attended and graduated from Prairie du Sac High School in 1962.  Neal attended UW Platteville, graduating in 1968.  He was then drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War.  After the war, he returned to UW Platteville for a master's degree.  He was employed as a Draftsman at Alcar in Lodi for 24 years, retiring in 1996 as a mechanical engineer.  Neal was a Model A enthusiast.  He enjoyed all antique cars and trucks and going to car shows.

He is survived by a sister, Jane (George) Allam; nieces Rebecca (Larry) Humphrey & Emily Buchanan; brother-in-law Hugh Buchanan; grandnephew, Brandon Buchanan and special friends/caretakers David & Dawn Klepper.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Florence Jessie and siblings, Lois Buchanan, Norman Jessie and Jean Jessie.

The family would like to thank the St. Croix team for their loving and thoughtful care, especially his nurses Rain and Tammy and his Doctor, Dr. Adrea of the Baraboo VA.

A private family service will be held in his honor.
