Neveda M. Royston, age 92, passed away at home on Thursday, December 4, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was born in Madison on February 2, 1916, the daughter of the late Raphael and Nona (Lockwood) Borman. She was united in marriage to William Clark Royston on October 22, 1938 in Mazomanie. Neveda was a member of Mazomanie United Church of Christ and it's Circle 2, the Red Hatters, and the special Birthday Club. She is survived by 5 children, Richard (Sharon) Royston of Mazomanie, Sharon (Jim) Craney of Mazomanie, Virginia (Duane) Mellum of Black Earth, Jane (Pete) Peterson of Mazomanie and David (Joy) Royston of Wisconsin Dells; a special foster child, Mary (Val) Frank of Mesa, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Theresa (Jesse) Duhr, Kristi (Matt) Brabender, Douglas (Molly) Craney, Lisa (Dave) Martinez, Jennifer Wood, Chad Mellum, Jenelle Mellum, Mike Peterson, Tim Peterson, Kyler Royston and Jade Royston; 13 great-grandchildren, Jameson and Kaitlyn Duhr; Devin, Jacob and Jocelyn Brabender; Mackenzie and Jack Craney; Josh, Jaeger, Dalton and Angelica Martinez; Payton Wood and Cory Mellum; sister-in-law, Lucille Royston; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Kathleen; and two sisters, Azita Lucey and Connie Anding. Funeral services will be held at MAZOMANIE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2008 with Pastor Carolyn Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Mazomanie Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Mazomanie, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2008 and also at the church on Monday, one hour prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for various local charities.
