Obituary

Niel J. Rischmueller, age 73, died July 19, 2014 at his home. He was born in Sauk County on February 4, 1941 the son of the late John and Florence (Zick) Rischmueller. Niel was a 1960 graduate of Prairie du Sac High School. He was united in marriage to Darleen Yanke on June 29, 1975. He was a member and past exalted ruler of the Baraboo Elks Club. . He was a member and past president of Honey Creek Rod and Gun Club, and was an active member of Denzer United Methodist Church. Niel loved to hunt, fish and play cards. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend to everyone.


He is survived by his wife, Darleen;
1 son , Curt (Wendy);
twin daughters, Cathy (Doug) Wirth, Carri (Dave) Taylor;
Stepdaughters, Debra (Lauren) Gagner, Sue Ann (T.J. Ballweg) Schwanke.
7 Grandchildren,
6 great grandchildren, the mother of his children, Dorene (Jim) Stoffels,
and his extended Birchwood Family, other relatives and many friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Chad Thompson for his care and support, prior to, during, and throughout Niel's illness.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his in laws, Milton and Bernice (Gelhaus) Yanke.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Denzer United Methodist Church, Denzer, WI with Pastor Carol Quinn officiating. Inurnment will be in the Denzer Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City from 3:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m..
