Orlin A. Danz "Odie", age 60, passed away April 27, 2022 at Ingleside of Mount Horeb. He was born Dec. 10, 1961 the son of Orland and Marjorie (Wood) Danz.  Orlin attended Wisconsin Heights Schools graduating with the class of 1981.  He was employed for 24 years as a Highway Patrolman with the Township of Berry; retiring in March 2022. He also worked for many area farmers and Boehnen Inc. making many longtime friends.  He enjoyed farming and watching the Green Bay Packers or Milwaukee Brewers with his family and friends. When Orlin no longer could work, he enjoyed going for car rides and visiting with his friends and family in person and by telephone.

Orlin is survived by his son, Dustin (Emily) Ripp; grandchildren, Colin, Carter & Hannah; siblings: Joan Sanftleben, Warren Danz, Mark (Marilyn) Danz, Susan (Mike) Coyle, Jeff Danz, Julie Mickelson, Mary (Aaron) Hicks; sister-in-law, Vickie Danz and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by; brother, Steven Danz; brothers-in-law, Cletus Sanftleben and Maynard Mickelson; and nieces and nephews Jennifer Buhler, Christopher Mickelson, Mason Mickelson, Megan Mickelson and Bridget Coyle.

A Visitation open to the public will be held from 10:00 am until12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City. A private service and burial to follow at the Mazomanie Cemetery, taking his final ride on the Town of Berry truck.
