Obituary

Otto J. Bloechl, age 81, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 following a battle with cancer. He was born in Milwaukee on November 1, 1931, the son of the late Otto and Mary (Kapfer) Bloechl. He was united in marriage to Marie Zander on April 24, 1954. He was employed at Fuchs Trucking for over 30 years, retiring in 2007. Otto was a former member and chief of the Sauk City Fire Department, Sauk City Village Board, and a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.


He is survived by his wife, Marie; four children, Rosemarie (Kevin) Krueger, Steve (Mary) Bloechl, Rita (Tom) Brisky and Sandy Manke; seven grandchildren, Steve (Jessica), Andy (Kassie), Brian (Brook), Donnie, Helen, Ty and Shanna; a great-grandson, Blake; a sister, Mary (Rick) Meng; other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary.


A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 with Fr. John Blewett officiating. Interment at a later date will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
