Obituary

Otto "Butch" M. Stoffels, age 81, passed away passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home with Jackie and his dog, Kandy at his side on Friday, Jan., 23, 2026.  He was born June 7, 1944 to the late Otto and Edith (Searles) Stoffels.  He grew up in Sauk Prairie and met the love of his life, Jacquelyn "Jacki" Murphy in 1963.  The were united in marriage on April 24, 1965.  Butch worked as a lineman for the Badger Ammunition Powder Plant and the Village of Sauk City for many years.  After retiring, Butch worked for Weavers Auto Parts delivering auto parts for 8 years.  Butch was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish.  Together Butch and Jacki looked forward to traveling, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

Butch is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jacki; a grandson, Nathaniel Weich; other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents, Otto and Edith (Searles) Stoffels; he was preceded by son's, Dennis and Jason; a sister, Janet (Don) Herbrand; and sister in-law, Marilyn (George) English.

A visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 9th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at  Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City.  Interment will be held at a later date in the St. Aloysius Cemetery, Sauk City.
