Patty J. "Lovey" Nolden, 73, passed away on May 5, 2016. She was born Mar. 15, 1943 to Perry O. and Helen (Ballweg) Haugen on their home farm in Waunakee. She graduated from Waunakee High School in 1961. Patty married the love of her life, Victor Nolden on Sept. 28, 1968. After working at the DMV, Patty devoted 20 years to caring for the priests and sanctuary of St. Aloysius Church in Sauk City. Patty enjoyed filling the church with flowers and watching the birds in her garden as well as outside her window. Bluebirds were her favorite! She was a caring and generous daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, and most of all, the love and light of her husband Victor's life.

She is survived by Victor, her husband of 47 years; God Children, Laura Peterson, Diane Endres, Joan O'Brion, Maria Sisul, Amy Wollangk, and Jeff Schmiedlin; her siblings, David (Joyce), Perry, Jean, and James Haugen, Diane Frye, Bette (Ron) Duerst, Marilyn Whiting, Mary Kaye (Joe) Lashock, Nancy (Jerry) Zimmerman; in-laws, Roger (Lorie), Deanna, Melvin (Gloria), Don Nolden, and Phyliss Haugen; Victor's beloved sisters, Mary Ann (Chuck) Jacobi and Barb (Gary) Mock, along with many very beloved nieces and nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law Henry and Marina Nolden; a brother Jerome Haugen; in-laws, Jim Frye, Barbara Haugen, Tom Schmiedlin, Bob Whiting and David Nolden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:15 am at Hooverson Funeral Home , Sauk City.
