Obituary
Patricia Ann Kirner, age 78 years of Prairie du Sac, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 13, 1939 in Baraboo to Wilferd and Alto (Needham) Stewart.
Pat was a graduate from Baraboo High School. She was united in marriage on July 19, 1958 to Jack Kirner and lived in Sauk Prairie for the past 55 years. Pat was employed as an office manager in the family Radio Shack business, as a sales clerk for Bohler Drugs and as a receptionist for Orthopedic Associates all in Prairie du Sac.
She was always seen with her twin sister Barb whom was also her very best friend. She was a long time member of First United Church of Christ and most recently St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, hardanger, playing cards, gardening, stained glass art and spending time with her family's dog "Oliver" and cats "Daisy" and "Annie". Earlier in her life she spent time camping, hiking, walking, rollerskating, bowling and golfing. Soon after meeting her husband, she proudly took up touring the state on her motorcycle with her young family.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Kirner of Prairie du Sac; four children, Kurt (Sue) Kirner of Hillsdale, MI, Scott Kirner (special friend Cindy Thurber), Brian (Michelle Lumblo) Kirner, Maumelle, AR and Kristine (Thomas) Pressel of Combined Locks, WI.; grandchildren Quinn and Clayton Kirner, Jerica and Grant Kirner, Zac and Paige Pejskar, special step great grandchild Addi; twin sister Barbara, (Floyd) Shafer of Reedsburg; cousins Faith Bidgood, Reedsburg and LeRoy (Verna) Bidgood, Wisconsin Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Kay; sister, Marie Jones; and grandmother, Annie Stewart.
A memorial service for family and close friends to be held Tuesday, May 23rd. A burial and celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date in June.
