Patrick Lawrence Boss, age 53, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. He was born in Richland Center to Rex and Bette (Coyle) Boss on February 5, 1955. Pat attented Sauk Prairie High School, and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1972, at the age of 17 and served honorably until 1974. Pat married the love of his life, Becky Brewer June, 4 1994, with their romance begining at the Firehouse Restaraunt in Prairie du Sac. Pat was self taught musician from a very young age, despite having never learned to read a note of music. He played guitar (upside down and left handed), piano, harmonica, and percussion instruments. He was a talented singer, songwriter, poet, comedian and impressionist. Pat was the lead singer of a rock and roll band (Hacksaw) in the 1970's-80's and known for his soulfully spirited, and powerful voice. Pat's deep sense of nuturing and compassion lead him to a career in nursing, where he worked at Watertown Memorial Hospital, Beverly Terrace, UW Hospital, Good Samaritian, Pines Assisted Living and various other long term care facilities. He was proud to be the first male CNA at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. Pat was a prolific reader and a consiment conversationilist, often times projecting the irish in him. He was very proud of his children Sadie and Dan, while nursing and music were his passions, his children were his true joy.

29 nieces and nephews, his endearing mother in-law Yvonne Brewer of Sauk City, 4 sisters in-law and 3 brothers in-law from his wife's family, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father in-law Robert Brewer.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 11am at First United Church of Christ, Sauk City with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Military rites will be performed by Lachmund-Cramer VFW Post 7694. Friends may call on Monday evening, February 25, 2008 from 5pm until 8pm at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City and on the day of service one hour prior to service at the church.
