Obituary

Paul Robert Brickl, age 68, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at his home. He was born in Highland on September 26, 1944, the son of the late Alois and Evelyn (Fingerhut) Brickl. Paul served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired from Milwaukee Valve on April 1, 2011 and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

Paul loved fishing and the outdoors, where he found a great fishing buddy, Jeff Saffran and his family. Many good times were spent fishing and sitting around the campfire, reminiscing the day's catch and the successful hunt. Paul will be missed by all who knew him.


He is survived by 6 siblings, Ken (Tenchie) Brickl, Pat (Dick) Beck, Gary (Carol) Brickl, Dean (Mary Fargen, special friend) Brickl, Mary Lynn (Ernie) Fahrni and Kathy Meise; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Shirley Brickl.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 with Fr. John Blewett and Fr. Ray Dischler con-celebrating. Interment will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012.
