Paul F. Bringle, age 93, passed away peacefully Thursday, Mar. 9, 2023 at Maplewood Sauk Prairie. He was born at home in Dell Rapids, SD on Aug. 23, 1929 to the late Albert and Mildred (Stensby) Bringle. He grew up in Taylor, WI, and his family relocated to Randall, IA where Paul graduated from high school in 1947.
Paul served in the United States Army in North Korea until he was discharged in Dec. 1953. He moved to Prairie du Sac, WI where he met his wife Audrey Zick. Paul and Audrey were united in marriage at St. John's Lutheran Church by Paul's father on Aug. 25, 1956; she preceded him in death on June 1, 2013. Paul graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He went on to work with graduate students at the university, doing beef research in Madison and later the Arlington Research Farm for nearly 35 years until he retired.
Paul enjoyed sports and was a former member and avid golfer at the Lake Wisconsin Country Club. He also enjoyed wood working, and spending time with family, especially supporting his grandchildren at their events. He looked forward to mornings spent with friends at the Prairie Cenex and Blue Spoon.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Ken) Roth and their children, Zach and Kasi; a special cousin, Arthur Ness; nieces, Leslie (Jeff) Satre, Katie (Tom) Gandek, Ann (Mike) Millet and nephew, Larry (Arlynne) Hill; he is further survived by great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Audrey; he was preceded by his stepmother, Clarice and his siblings, Irene (Donald) Hill, John Bringle, and Thelma (Chuck) Hughes.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Mar. 14, 2023 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 Oak St., Prairie du Sac with Pastor Fred Rilling. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment with Military Honors accorded by the Lachmund-Cramer VFW 7694 will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
Paul's family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers at Maplewood Village and Maplewood Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Riverside Bible Camp of Story City, IA or St. John's Lutheran Church, Prairie du Sac.
