It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul Junior Harman, 87, on Saturday, February 21,2026 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

Paul was born on July 5,1938 in Baraboo, WI to Paul Sr and Adelia Harman. He grew up working hard on the family farm on Maple Hill Road in the township of Freedom and later at the "New Farm" outside of Baraboo. Paul graduated from Baraboo High School in 1956. Upon graduation he enlisted in WI Air National Guard and served out of Truax Field in Madison, WI.  In 1962, Paul joined the Sauk Prairie Police Department.  He served the community for 28 years until his retirement as Lieutenant in 1990.  Throughout his law enforcement career and after, Paul pursued his true passion of working on the family farms.

He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Donna Lee Koehler on May 21, 1960. Paul and Donna spent most of their lives in Sauk City raising their 3 children, Stephen, David, and Jean.

Paul was a faithful man, and he and Donna were founding members of St James Lutheran Church in Prairie du Sac, WI and he served on the church council for many years.

Paul loved his family. And always said, "We have the best family". He loved the yearly family camping trips. He and Donna loved music and often traveled to music shows and concerts.  He had many hobbies including, planting flowers, gardening, mowing, picking hickory nuts, wine making and generally spending as much time as possible at the "Old Farm" on Maple Hill.
