Penne A. Wildenberg

Penne Ann Wildenberg, age 72, moved on to eternal rest on Sunday, June 14, 2026. She was born in Cresco, Iowa on February 23, 1954, to Gary Connor Sr., and Dorothy (Brakefield) Connor. In 1985, Penne married Robert “Bob” Wildenberg, who became a bonus dad to her three children; Wade, Jenny, and Heath; and later, proudly became “Bapa” and “Nanny” to their grandchildren, who all brought them so much joy.

Penne took pride in being a home maker and enjoyed growing flower gardens at each place she and Bob called home. They were most proud of the Koi fish pond they designed together while living near Dutch Hollow Lake for many years. Penne and Bob spent some time living in Southern Illinois where they bred and raised Australian Shepherds and some even grew to be award winning show dogs. Bob and Penne later moved to Clear Lake, Iowa where Penne enjoyed time with her friends, “The Tribe” who became like family to her. Two years ago, Penne moved back to Plain, WI, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Plain is where Penne started her family many years ago and she finally felt at home again. Penne made friends wherever she went and will be missed by many.

Penne is survived by her children; Wade (Kim) Feiner, and their sons, Hunter and Jake; Jenny (Josh) Hasheider, and their children; Morgan (Adam) Ballweg, Colby and Libby; Heath (Jodi) Feiner, and their son, Hayden. Penne’s siblings: John (Chris) Connor, Vicki Bone, Hank Connor, Gary (Diane) Connor, Tracy (Maggie) Connor, Kelle (Steve) Millard, and Scott Connor, Uncle Mike (Barb) Connor, and Aunt Pat (Tom) Whitney; Aunt Kay Honadel; brothers in Law, Roger Olson, Jerry (Linda) Wildenberg, Dan (Bonnie) Wildenberg, and Harold (Shelly) Berg, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary Connor Sr, Dorothy Connor; father-in-Law, Peter Wildenberg, and mother-in-Law, Lorraine Wildenberg; an uncle, Dave Connor; and a sister, Sue Olson; in laws: Frank Bone, Beverly (Paul) Rihn, Hank (Jo) Wildenberg, Harry Wildenberg, Fritz (Barb) Wildenberg, and Alice Berg.

Penne’s family would like to thank Agrace Hospice for their special care, love, and support that they provided to Mom and our family along her journey and in her final hours; especially nurses Megan, Brianna, Courtney, Kevin; CNAs Mary and Candice, and special caregiver, Alexis. Their support made Mom’s transition comfortable and peaceful, which was everything she prayed for.

A private service will take place in Bloomer, WI at a later date.
