Phillip Dale Norland, age 64, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013, at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. He was born in Dane County on July 28, 1948, the son of the late Edner and Berniece (Engen) Norland. He was united in marriage to Sandra Heiser on April 5, 1975.
Phillip enjoyed hunting, fishing, bingo, operating machinery, and he loved horses. He was an awesome father and grandpa and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Plain; three sons, Eric (Sarah), Jason (Kim) and Tim (Tara); three grandchildren, Autumn, Amber and Collin; three sisters, Elaine (Dave) Hankel, Dorothy (Homer) Olson and Beverly (Lynn) Standorf; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Heiser; his canine companion, Dizzy; other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Cyril Heiser.
A Memorial Service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013 with Pastor Kendall Schlittler officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Thursday. A private family graveside service will be held at PRIMROSE EAST CEMETERY.
