Phyllis E. Ganser, age 94 of Roxbury, passed away October 20, 2026, at home on her farm surrounded by family. She was born on August 2, 1932, to Arthur and Teresa (Werla) Ganser at her grandparents' farm on Fish Lake in Roxbury, Wisconsin. Phyllis was united in marriage to Carleton H. Ganser at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Roxbury on February 16, 1950. Together they farmed in Roxbury and raised a family. She was a lifelong member of St. Norbert’s Parish, where she taught catechism for years and was a member of the CCW.
For Phyllis, love was an action, not just words. She poured her heart into her family by being present for every milestone and quiet moment alike—caring for grandchildren, tending to anyone who was sick, and gathering everyone around giant farm meals. Her affection routinely went out the door with you in tins of fresh cinnamon rolls, homemade pies, pfeffernusse, and fresh vegetables straight from her garden—a testament to a long life devoted entirely to taking care of others.
