IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis Graham
Hazelwood
October 18, 2022
Phyllis Graham Hazelwood did not lead an average life.
The little girl born in Strongs Prairie Wisconsin grew into an adult who spent years traveling the globe and living and working in exotic locations. On October 18th, 2022, at the age of 90, she slipped away to heaven, to join her family members who were waiting for her there.
Phyllis was born to Lelia and Willy Graham on October 30, 1931 and grew up on the family farm. She received her bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and her masters degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. At different times in her career she worked as a school teacher, dietitian, food service manager and most recently as a diabetes educator. Phyllis devoted her entire life to helping others, particularly those she loved. She touched the lives of many. By donating her body to medical research, she will continue to help others long after she has gone.
Family meant everything to Phyllis. She is survived by her beloved companion LadyBug, son, Mark (Sue), daughter, Kanda (Preston Wilbourne), granddaughter, Heather (Becci Menghini), grandson, Jon (Jacque), great grandchildren, Elton, Daphne and Winnie, sister, MaryAnn Kojis, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothea and Audrey, and brothers Bill and Bob.
In her memory, Phyllis would encourage you all to live life to the fullest, take risks, live fearlessly and never ever take your loved ones for granted.
Memorials to Phyllis' life can be made to your favorite medical charity, Heifer International, Best Friends Animal Society or Agrace Hospice.
The family is grateful to The Pines Assisted Living and Agrace Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
No formal funeral is planned, but family will gather at a later date.
