Ramona Belle Kramer, 87, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. She was born February 16, 1923 in Orangeville, IL., the daughter of the late Glenn and Gertrude (Matzke) Boyer. She graduated from Juda High School in 1941 and continued her education later graduating with her bachelors degree from U.W. Oshkosh at the age of 62. Ramona was married to Denman Kramer on September 14, 1986 and made her home in Prairie du Sac at that time. She was active in the planning of the River Arts Center, a member of Concordia United Methodist Church and a member of Lodi O.E.S. chapter #4.
Survivors include her husband, Denman; her children, James (Dru) Retzlaff of West Bend,
Jone Wood of Lakewood, WI.,
Yvonne (John) Holbrook of Pfafftown, N.C.,
John (Debra) Retzlaff of Shawano,
and Joy (Greg) Strid of Naperville, IL; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Retzlaff; a son, Peter Retzlaff; three brothers, Ivan, Lee and John Boyer; a sister, Ellen Mahlkuch; and a grandson, Bradley Retzlaff.
A memorial service will be held at Concordia United Methodist Church, 585 Fifth St., Prairie du Sac, on Friday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Virchow officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
