Raymond F. Kahl, formerly of Prairie du Sac, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at La Posada Healthcare Facility, Green Valley, Arizona. He was born in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin on November 20, 1913, the son of the late John and Augusta (Heuser) Kahl. He was united in marriage to Edith Banoff on August 8, 1938; she preceded him in death in 2001. The couple were residents of Prairie du Sac from 1941 until 1977, at which time they retired to Green Valley, Arizona. Mr. Kahl was formerly Vice President of Royster Company in Madison and prior to that taught and coached in Prairie du Sac and Madison.
He is survived by a son, James (Judy) Kahl of Bonita Springs, Florida; three grandchildren, Gregory (Jo-Anne) Kahl of Laurel, Maryland, Steven (Suzie) Kahl of Wilmette, Illinois, and Kristin Kahl of Overland Park, Kansas; great-grandchildren Henry and Hattie Kahl of Wilmette, Illinois; and nieces and nephews.
A private burial took place at the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010
