Richard "Rich" R. Roelke, age 65, passed away June 12, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 29, 1952 the son of the late Victor and Lucille (Fass) Roelke. He attended St. Norbert's Elementary School, Sauk Prairie High School, and Madison Area Technical College. Rich was well known for his expertise and craftsmanship in auto body repair, restoration, and customization, working on his own vehicles and at local shops, most recently with Gates Collision Center.

Rich is survived by his siblings, Fred (Julie) Roelke, Barb (Ron) Wagner, Larry (Lois) Roelke, Susan (Mark) Wood, and Scott (Kathi) Roelke; nieces and nephews, Chad (Heather) Wagner, Robin Wagner, Josh Wagner, Jesse (Wendy) Roelke, Megan (Marc) Tucker, Travis (Melanie) Wood, Zach (Angie) Wood, Heidi (Chris) Milmoe, Shane Wood, Devin Roelke and Lexi Roelke, as well as great nieces and nephews, Meg Wagner, Owen Wagner, Violet Roelke, Cooper Wood and Madison Wood.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary Roelke and nephew, Sean Wood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at St. Norbert's Catholic Church, Roxbury on June 16, 2018. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on June 15, 2018 at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City and also the morning of the service from 9:30 am until 10:45 am.

Rich's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided him with compassionate care during his final days.
