Richard W Luck, age 65, of Merrimac Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday September 13, 2022 at his home in Merrimac, Wisconsin. Richard was born at the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital on December 16, 1956, the son of Ralph H Luck and Ethel M Schluter. Richard is survived by two brothers, Robert R Luck and Thomas R Luck and Four nieces and nephews,  Emily Luck Habbert , Eric R Luck, Sean Luck and Nathan Luck.

Even though Richard's life was profoundly affected by Down Syndrome, he was a very happy person.  His ability to enjoy life and experience a very wide variety of activities and adventures was due in large part to his mother's (Ethel Schluter Luck) constant efforts. In addition, being surrounded by a loving father and two older brothers gave Rick every advantage one could hope for.

Gwen Ringelstetter his first cousin:  Ricky wasn't only my 1st cousin, he was my best friend! When I was having a not so good day, Ricky knew how to console me with a hug or soften voice.  I could count on him for sympathy.

Richard's family wishes to thank Moments Hospice for their exceptional care of Richard especially Amy, Crystal, Morgan, and others.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VARC Foundation where Richard worked  and/or Wisconsin Special Olympics.
