Richard L. Weinke, age 75 died Monday, November 19, 2012 at Meriter Hospital, Madison. He was born on October 25, 1937 in Baraboo, the son of the late Lawrence and Ella (Hartmann) Weinke. He was united in marriage to Lucille Kroon on October 10, 1964 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Merrimac. Richard was employed by Icke Construction and was a member of the laborers union, Local #464, for many years. Following his retirement he enjoyed working at Devils Head as a greenskeeper. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.


Survivors include his wife, Lucy;
two children, Kathie (Brett) Thompson and Rick Weinke;
two grandchildren, Clint and Trent Thompson; a brother-in-law, Tom Radtke; two sisters-in-law, Judy Weinke and Illeen Weinke; other relatives and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.


A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Merrimac. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
