Robert R. Reeve, Sr., age 78, died on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Helena (Arena Township) on September 10, 1936, the son of the late Russell and Jenny (Clary) Reeve. He was united in marriage to Frances Marti on March 31, 1959 in Mount Horeb. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War from 1954 - 1957 on the USS Canisteo (AO-99).


He is survived by four children, Julie (Henry) Jennings, Robert (Lori) Reeve, Jackie (Clark) Sawle and Jay (fiance Heather Wunnicke) Reeve; 5 grandchildren, Tara, Tami, Brittany, Heather and Spencer; four great-grandchildren, Paige, Henry, Logan and Clark; two sisters, Janice (Roger) Sawle and Mildred (Dean) Tschudy; 3 brothers-in-law, Jerry Anding, Dave Forseth and Fred Marti; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Frances, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen; a daughter-in-law, Kara; two sisters, Vicky Blank and Sharon Anding; and ; a brother, Roger Reeve.



A funeral service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, HIghway 14 West, Mazomanie, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 with Pastor Shultz officiating. Burial, with military rites, will follow in the Arena Cemetery. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, from 4 - 7 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014.
