Robert J. Slotty, age 79, died on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. He was born in Baraboo on November 10, 1934, the son of the late Paul and Laura (Wenzel) Slotty. Robert lived in Honey Creek Township his entire life. While limited by physical disabilities, Robert enjoyed visiting with friends and family who supported him. He enjoyed life. We will all miss him.


He is survived by three siblings, Roman (Inky) Slotty, Ruth Evert, and Ralph (Helen) Slotty; 7 nieces and nephews, Bonnie (Dick) Gruber, Jackie (Randy Brockman) Boettcher, Mike (Lisa) Slotty, Tim (Lisa) Evert, Donald (Ann) Slotty, Matt (Becky) Slotty and Tammy Cooper; and several great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald; and brother-in-law, Harvey Evert.


A Funeral Service will be held at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, Leland, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014 with Pastor Erich Hartenberger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
