Robert "Bob" William Kleist, age 39, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 26, 2010. He was born at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital on September 1, 1970 to Donald R. and Karla (Huerth) Kleist. Bob worked construction and enjoyed helping friends and family. He will be remembered for his kind heart and giving generosity. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, camping and was "The King of the Campfire".



He is survived by his parents, Donald R. and Karla of Sauk City; his sister, Tina (Jeff) Hughbanks of Sauk City; two brothers, Ted (Sue) Kleist of Plain and Don (Jodi) Kleist of Prairie du Sac; a girlfriend, Vickie Rachuj; and Bob's "Little Shadow", Connor and Briana of Prairie du Sac; nieces and nephew, Nick and Tiffany Hughbanks, and Kenzington Kleist; and his two dogs, Spaz and B.J. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Grace Kleist, and maternal grandparents, Robert and Joanne Huerth.


A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Lachmund-Cramer VFW Post in Prairie du Sac, with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. A potluck luncheon will be held following the service.
