Rodney James Curtis passed away March 14, 2024. He was born November 12, 1965, in Madison, WI, the son of James & Mary Curtis.
Rod was a Boy Scout and played East Madison Little League Baseball. He graduated from Madison East High School in 1983. He worked at the Dane County Airport as part of the ground crew, Kline Dickert as a glazer.
Rod was on a bowling team at Bowl-A-Vard lanes for many years. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Brewers, and Wisconsin Badger sports. Living in Arizona allowed Rod to golf during the day and ski in the mountains at night. Rod loved to travel and attend music events and festivals.
Rod is survived by his mother, Mary of Portage; sons, Tyler (Lauren) Curtis of Janesville and Jarrod Brown (Kelsey Manchester) of Tucson; sisters, Susan (Bill) Borchers of Madison and Lisa Lewis of Portage; niece, Kristin Lewis (Sean) and Sara (Joe) Carstensen and nephew, Justin Lewis; 2 great nieces and three great nephews all of Lone Rock; as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Curtis, a son, Aaron Curtis, and his grandparents from both sides of the family.
Rod is loved and will be greatly missed.
There will be a celebration of life at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes, 2121 E. Springs Drive, Madison, WI 53704 on April 7, 2024, from 1 to 3 pm. A private family burial will be at a later date.
