Roger Dean
Clason
June 18, 1943 – July 29, 2025
Roger Dean Clason, age 82, of Prairie du Sac formerly of Black Earth passed away at the Pines Assisted Living on July 29, 2025. He was born to Virgil and Dorothy (Huset) Clason. Roger graduated from Black Earth High School in the class of 1961. He was united in marriage to Beverly R. Marten at St. Martins Lutheran Church, Cross Plains; she preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2022.
Roger was an electrician and his career included owning his own business, Roger's TV and Radio Repair, then working at Wolff Kubly and finally at American Famiy Insurance where he retired in 2003.
He really enjoyed woodworking and made many items for his grandsons and great grandsons. He was there when they needed help with a science project or just wanted to make something out of wood. He enjoyed learning and mentored students at the Sauk Prairie Schools. He also volunteered at Habitat for Humanity until he wasn't able to anymore.
He is survived by daughters, Sherri (Dean) Ruhland and Wendy (Rob) Kuster; 4 grandsons, Travis, Nathan, Tyler (Lane) Ruhland and Noah Eng; 2 great-grandsons, Barrett and Hudson Ruhland; siblings, Bob (LaVonne) Clason, Judy Lingard, and Julie Uselman: in-laws Dale Clason, Carol Kirk and Elaine (Gary) Meister.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bev; he was preceded in death by his brother David Clason and grandson Nicholas Eng.
A private family service will be held at the Hooverson Funeral Home. It is requested that any monetary gifts or memorials be given to Habitat for Humanity.
